Influence of the pentlandite composition on its flotation characteristics (by roentgenometric data)

On the basis of the published data, microprobe and XRD-analyses it has been established that in the composition of the cooper-nickel ores (the Pechenga mining field) there are four types of pentlandite: ferriferous, usual, nickeliferous and cobaltous. The pentlandite composition influences on floatation properties of mineral. It has been experimentally proved that the nickeliferous pentlandite floats well enough, the cobaltous one - worse, and the pentlandite with a heightened iron content has the least floatoactivity.

On possibility of magnesium-bearing meliorant extracting from the tailings of vermiculite ores' benefication

The problems of the magnesium-bearing meliorant extracting from mining waste metals, in particular from the tailings of vermiculite ores' benefication using low-budget processes have been considered. The temperature increase influence on the process of magnesium leaching has been studied in the paper.

Investigation of fusibility in the system albite - aegirite - pentaoxodisilicate natrium - quartz

The paper investigates the system albite - aegirite - pentaoxodisilicate natrium - quartz using the methods of differentially-thermal analysis. The mathematical description of liquidus surface as a function of composition has been given.

Ceramic materials made of wastes of iron, mica and apatite-nepheline ores

The paper has presented the analysis of advantages and disadvantages of the available ceramic materials produced from wastes of iron, mica and apatite-nepheline ores. Compositions and methods for producing wallfacing ceramics from these wastes have been proposed.
